Diabetes is a metabolic condition in which the level of sugar in the blood is extremely high.  It is a chronic condition in which the body does not produce enough insulin.  Our pancreas produces a hormone called the insulin. This hormone helps converting the glucose from the food into energy. When the pancreas stops producing insulin, or becomes resistant to insulin, this glucose enters the blood stream.
